Plymouth Trip

I have been to Plymouth for a couple of days,staying overnight in a Travelodge

Went back to St Ives this morning. Exactly the same spot but low tide. managed to finish this one with time to spare on the meter. It was heaving again. St Ives is a bit of a sun trap and the atmosphere was so relaxed. Just love it here. 

Went to St Ives today and sat on the harbour wall. It was so windy I lost the cushion and the palette to the sea,Then the heavens opened and everyone scattered including me but so pleased I went. I didn`t quite have enough time because of the rain situation but I went and did it.  

London Paintings

Been in the studio today working on London paintings. Hope to get to Plymouth Thursday or Friday to paint there.when the weather clears. When I came back on the Ferry from Roscoff I had it in my mind that I would come back here to paint and now I have found a good reason too as there is some interest in the subject. 

Went to St Ives again today. Managed two pieces today. Found a car parking spot,a major challenge in St Ives and walked down to Porthminster again.I love this spot and lots of people came to see what I was doing. The sky has darkened from the last time I did this making Prussian blue darken the sky a bit. This colour always makes me nervous.

Went up to Les`s after getting a call from Russ saying "come up". Quick dinner ,tea and off.. This time Les was there so was good opportunity to thank him for his hospitality.  

Went to the harbour in Penzance and literally froze my nuts off. struggled to get home I was so stiff from the cold.

Managed to get out very briefly today and found a great spot here in Penzance.

 Went to Falmouth today with my friend Russ Holland and painted two Gouaches. Video to follow.

I left home at 3.30 to get something down at St Ives but by the time I got there people were leaving and the sun left the part of the beach I was sitting on and it became very cold so I only got a short paint. I`ll finish this at home  which is something I don`t like to do but needs must.

Was going to Falmouth today but as it turns up we went to Porthlevan instead. Sam my son and Lorraine my dear wife went for a walk and I sat in the harbour and painted.
