I`ve changed this as you can see I`ve put the table and jug in. The jug is very permanent rose and the table dark alizaron and red but its hard to separate the two with my home camera. So I had to play with it a little in photoshop to separate them. The composition now looks more settled and balanced.Although the large house in the middle does bother my eye slightly I suppose because the eye circles around the picture from left to right but keeps being distracted by this large shape in the middle..

Still with this subject. Marigot is in French St Martin which is a tiny island in the Caribbean.I went there for my Daughters wedding .My ex wife lived there for a while. It really was stunning. I remember visiting a Baptist Church there on Sunday. I was the only white person there and got a few odd looks. It was great though really animated.I wish our Churches had that same energy and liveliness.

Still working on this subject matter. This one is a large 70x90cm canvas . Some of the foreground has been informed by the Plein air work I did last year in St Ives.

Really into oil at the moment. This is for Blackheath Gallery in London . I`m a bit tired now as I`ve been working flat out for a few days now. I`ll take a break tomorrow and go to St Ives to see my work in the New craftman Gallery or even start some Plein air painting.

Wonderful day at Praa Sands but don`t over stay your car park even for a minute. Although I love Cornwall ..can you see the MBA sign in the foreground. They will clamp your car and sting you for your life savings. That`s what I call Cornish Pirates. We've been caught twice and once I had a disabled sticker in the car. Other than that we did not over stay even for a minute and had a lovely day.
Sorry I havn`t I`ve been away in Woolacombe in North Devon for a break. New Blogs to follow shortly.

This is a painting that is going off to Padstow. Its been repainted. It had a yellow boat in the foreground that I didn`t get along with over time so this morning I repainted it and re shaped it and now its a red boat.

I`ve done this again as the last one I went over thinking it wasn`t much cop. But it isn`t too bad and although the colours are not drop dead gorgeous it is ok. I think!
