And here is a 100cm x 90 cm that I have been building up over the last few days. Its coming along nicely I think. 

 

Well it started in acrylic and now its moved in to oil. Its a long way from being finshed yet and its not to pl;easant in my studio due to the cold weather. 

Day3 What I am trying to do is to create darker richer passages around the outside with the pool being the centre focus and the little houses above . So you have an area that is light in the middle with the outside being dark.The outside areas are scumbled with Crimson and Burnt Umber and a touch of Ultramarine. Once darkened they are brought back to life by reworking fresh bright paint.

Well praise the Lord! The rain has stopped. 

Coming along very nicely now. So pleased the change of colour occured, it`s rich and strong and looks like a goer!    Not the best quality JPG but will post a better one when its done.

The more I practice the Luckier I get.!!!!!!!

Work in progress

It`s been really cold in the studio the last couple of days so have been working on the business side of being an artist by spending time on the website and contacting galleries. Its one of those things that has to be done, paperwork too..

Still working on this subject. I must make a trip to Marrakech soon!. 42 x42 cm. The pool needs some more work . With Christmas coming up and most of my paintings wisked off to various London Galleries I can now concentrate on something new. 

So with that in mind here we go..... .
