Its freezing in the studio so I have brought all my kit indoors where its warm and I can concentrate without trying to stay warm. It has its own problems of course I`m not working with my big big mirror just yet so I cant cross check so easily and the light is uncontrollable at present. Of course I have to clean up at the end of the day and take it all back to the studio which is a fag but it`s worth it. Its snowing here right now.

Well I`ve started painting something cheerful again

Well still not really working in the studio. I`ve been working on the internet and learning about facebook from Chris Farrell an online guru on these matters. Online Guru? Went to the Arts club last night and drew a a really good model . Then me and Tody went down to the Studio bar .She painted in watercolours and I drew. It was `open mike night` and had a real buzz. All these weird and wonderful people coming out on a rainy night in Penzance to get up and sing.I met Chris who was playing. I drew him and he bought me a beer. Then he drew me with Tody .Thats me with the Cuban Hat on. At first it took a while to sit and draw in a club but I soon relaxed and loads of people came up to take a look. I`ll be there next week.Watch this space.

I have started back painting again after a little break. This is what I have so far. I am still trying to work out how to do faces properly and am off to the Arts Club to do some figure drawing this evening. Had a Gallery from Totnes come and see me today which was a fruitful. Slightly indulgent to be doing a portrait as I should be doing something to sell but. money work and all that.

We all went over to St Ives today to see the British Association of Naive Artists show at the Mariners Gallery. It was very good. Not much I can say really . Afterwards we went for coffee at a little cafe with Fab views over a wintry St Ives.
