While cleaning up my filing system I found this image of `White Dove` a painting I sold 7yrs ago. I was painting very blocky then. I would love to paint like this again with little figures in. Isn`t it lovely?

The Hastings Stalker.

I am being hounded by the Hastings stalker. She originally had an interest in three prints which has now grown to six. And at these prices you also could afford to buy six. She phones me up all times of the day asking about images of mine she has found on the web. Some go back years and the galleries have gone out of business. She has been through all my Blogs with a fine tooth comb and picked out the images she likes best and the sizes she wants them in. The Beauty of being a self publishing Artist is that I can print from any picture as long as I have a decent file or photo . I must be developing Munchhousen Syndrome as I am beginning to like our mutual search for a good image. And ,it has given me a new insight in to how critical I can be of work that to me now looks great and yet I have gone over or re worked. Thankyou to the Hastings Stalker.. Here is one of the prints she has bought and it just goes to show ,if you do a bit of getting yourself out there and asking you can get a real bargain.

Iv` spent today doing my yearly accounts and searching for a missing digital file. Although I havn`t been on the brushes its great to get this horrible chore done and it does unclutter my mind from things that really need doing.its nearly done. The bathroom is coming along nicely. John just has to put the flooring down and install the shower and all the other stuff. .

Work is coming along nicely with us now thinking of the Flooring to use . It has a wet room and en suite. They have also patio `d the back so we can eat on a level patch when we eat out. Here is the new swimming pool. Well little pool that my daughter Alana bought from Argos. We are having the house pebble dashed next. Yes I know!! pebble dash. It seems so old fashioned but it doesn`t need any maintenance . The pebble dash they will use is called Gun Wallah! and is little stones found on the beach that they sling at render. At the moment the house has a pinkish pebble dash which Lorraine doesn`t like. She doesn`t like being the only pink house in the village. We are having the whole house re done in the ochre coloured local gun wallah! Will life ever be the same ?.... and ....`that I should be interested in such things` . How my life has changed! ...and will the person who slings the pebbles at the wall be any good at it.??

A good friend of mine Colin Ruffell a successful self publishing artist. www.crabfish.com has told me many times that the only way to make a good living from art is to spend as much time publicising and doing the promotion stuff as you do at the easel. I do tend to spend more time painting but this week I have spent the whole time working on my website building and refining it. So, sorry no paintings. Their are two projects that are in the pipeline tho. David Curzon Gallery in London want some of my Naive style paintings and I am doing a large one for our local church which I am very excited about. Imagine that . How can I do a painting for the Church....???How can I consider the people viewing it with all there different ideas...Should i not bother to please anyone. What themes do I do..How shall I build it... why do I want to do it I wont get paid for it,well I know the answer to that ??? what Have i got to say???
Also as you can see the extension is coming along. They seem to have a plan!
