As you can see I really have made some big changes to this picture. I felt it wasn`t right to paint Marrakech right now .I think I`ve done the best I can like it or leave it!!!!!

Started a Marrakech painting . We have Rain here and it`s very depressing so a nice Marrakech seems to be the best thing to do to cheer me up!It`ll take a few days to finish as I want lots of detail .

Ive been working on this very thick oil for months now. It still isn`t ready but here's a sneak preview. Its better when you see it in the flesh with all the texture.

Just keeping my hand in while I`m in a lull....

Nothing today. I am in a lull. Doing housework , preparing Board.Getting the green stuff out of the fish pond.

.Too bright and brash. Another bad day at the office. Wish this rain would go away....!

And this is a paralyzing position for an artist. I know it would sell but it doesn`t set my heart alight. All that half hearted work for nothing!!! Well you can guess what I am going to do in the interest of.... well me really!!!

Working very half hearted with other things on my mind. Just kept on going with this not having the energy I really wanted to push the colours. Its still quite a nice `potboiler`. Horrible term I know .But I like some of my `pot boilers`.

I couldn't`t resist doing this painting again with different elements. Its such a good image. I love the pinks and blue`s against each other . I have other ideas using this colour which I hope to work on soon. It`s got a bit of John Miller in it I suppose. Totally unintentional I`ll add... but that expanse which you get here in Cornwall is so attractive.I`ve tried this expanse before and failed but with these strong colours it seems to be working.

Ylenia who owns the New Craftsman Gallery in St Ives came and took three paintings. This one included.Its always slightly tense when Gallery's come. I want to be relaxed but know this is important as it is a fine Gallery. Being one of my worst critics. Its hard to keep a straight face. " what you want MY work?" See the difference in the colour between my blog entry a a few days ago. This is professionally done and hasn't been tinkered with in photoshop.

I`ve had some painting photographed by Simon Cook our local Art photographer. He did seven . Here are two of them, The quality is so much better when he does them.

Well I can`t call this contrived now. I`ve spent more time on it adjusting this and that and adding the lovely Spring Dafs . Very Happy now.
