A rise in temperature is coming

Nearly finished my Cornish work now so I can concentrate on other things especially some Marrakech work

Not finished this yet. I`ve been painting it while I have this terrible coldy thing. just going in for 10 or 20mins at a time.

Over the Bay

I`ve had a yearning to do a Blue picture for a while now and I`ve been working on this for 3 days taken bits out and putting bits in .I`ve done this type of subject many times before so its hard to keep it original.The only way I know is to do it when the yearning is there and struggle.

And here is a little flower painting. Its very twee but it rolled off the brush and looks great on the wall.

AAAAH! At last I`m painting something for me.

Went for a swim at St Ives Leisure Centre yesteday and took this shot. Sky`s windy and the Sea choppy and dark and still the little town of St Ives looks a picture.

Very Tired today so not able to do much Here is another boat. Not quite finished but again Black and Religious and simple I guess reflecting my mood.

Light colours again. This really has to stop!!

Well I`ve changed this painting as I wasn`t happy with the still life. . Getting a bit fed up with these light colours.One moment I like them then I don`t.

Fish and Chips in St Ives

When I started this I was unsure as the colours were muted . I like strong colours but every time I applied strong colours I took a dislike to it so I persisted with the lighter touch. Its not quite done yet but its what I had in my mind to produce.The Fish and Chips well thats what St Ives is all about isn`t it.

Just got back from a weekend in Torquay Salsa dancing.Well I mostly watched and swam in the pool but it was fun. I did a little dancing but I get tire. Back in the studio today but now really feeling it.I did this small pic to get me started. Another boat this time with a green Sea.

Well I`m still working with blacks. I guess it reflects my mood! What can I say `i like it`

Newlyn Harbour

Using whites and blacks give a stunning contrast .I usually like working with Blue but seem to be going into a white phase. This is of Newlyn Harbour and was painted from a day studying the harbour some time ago.Its very difficult making a picture `your own`.So many influences to draw from .So many images frtom galleries visited yet you have to drop that to make it your own.
